Which one do I purchase?
So many decisions are made when purchasing a home for your family. One of the main decisions is whether or not you are going to buy a new construction home or an existing home. Cindy Bailey Homes wants to help guide you home in 2020. Read more to see which one you will decide on.
New. Clean. Everything is perfectly clean and pristine. Every detail from the appliances to the paint color on the walls and the molding along the baseboards are NEW. You get to choose.
You get to choose. If you buy in early enough in the process buying new construction means that you can choose the color of your siding, brick, and trim.
Energy Efficient. New construction homes are taking advantage of innovations in energy efficiency. If you purchase new construction, chances are you will get a home that is built to use less energy.
Style. New homes come with some of the design elements that today’s lifestyle demands: open floor plans, eat-in kitchens, walk-in closets, and large master baths to name a few.
Warranty! Most builders include a range of warranties with their homes, whether it’s a short term full structure warranty or a longer term exterior warranty it surely helps when deciding on this huge purchase!
Character. Existing homes tend to have a lot of character due to their design, whether it’s a Craftsman-style home or a Acadian-style home. You may even be able to get a home with a swimming pool!
Location. Existing homes are in established neighborhoods where amenities have popped up throughout the years. School districts and drive time are usually big factors for people that choose to purchase an existing home.
Landscape. Landscaping and mature trees are more than likely well established and well cared for. You won’t have to spend time and money establishing it from scratch. With an existing home you might even get a bigger lot with your home.
Price. New construction homes tend to be more expensive than existing homes of the same size. On an existing home you may even be able to negotiate a better price.
